George made me forget the last eleven days. Eleven fucking days, as I found out when I finally told him everything later that night.

He slowly undressed the rest of me and turned on the shower while I stared at my reflection in the mirror. The eyes peering back at me were mine, but at the same time, they weren't. Not anymore. Steam slowly filled the room. I trailed the fading bruises and healing cuts, fighting a wince at the sight of the evidence JT left on my body. I knew they were there since I felt the sharp pain as he sliced me with the bowie knife. My only interaction while in the chamber was getting my injuries examined and cleaned. Once determined that I would survive and didn't need stitches, I was left alone until the door swung open to grant me my release.

The scars would give everyone enough material to gossip about for years.

George's arms wound around me from behind, and our gazes met. Some of his menace had tempered. "The only thing these marks say about you is that you are a survivor."

His words hit something deep in my core, and I meshed my lips under to prevent them from trembling. He took a step back and swiveled me around by the shoulders.

We stared at each other for twenty-seven breaths before he grasped my wrists and started walking backward, pulling me into the large walk-in shower. When the hot stream hit my skin, I groaned. I relished the sensation of everything washing away. I followed the stream of water as it disappeared down the drain. My tense muscles slowly loosened. Looking up, I noticed how the hot spray soaked George's remaining clothes, and my mouth ran dry. The material clung to his ripped muscles. He was toned before, but the last year had turned him into a machine.

Leaning against the tiled wall, I watched him rid himself of the last barriers between us.

He reached for the loofah and slathered it with my body wash. My stomach flipped in anticipation as the scent of vanilla filled the air. Cleaning me with a gentleness I'd never experienced before, my body drowned in the sensory stimulation. George kissed his way from my neck down to every mark my fight had left me with. Sinking to his knees, his large palms settled on my thighs. Holding my breath, I watched him study me through wet lashes.

"You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." I wanted to laugh his compliment off because, right now, I looked anything but beautiful. Then he flicked his tongue against my clit, and my brain short-circuited.

Over the next hours, George took care of me in more ways than I could ever repay him. He cleaned my skin, healed my soul, and worshiped my body in ways I never imagined. He was gentle at first, but when I sank to my knees under the scorching spray, wanting to reciprocate, all restraint left him. He grasped my arms and pulled me to my feet.
