Mason surveyed the room that was larger than he needed for the dinner, but they’d assured him it could feel intimate if he desired that. He had no idea what they would do, but the wood floors and wood beams on the ceilings and the gigantic stone fireplace gave the space character that made people take a second look. “The glass doors let in sunlight and showed off the fountain outside.”

Kaitlyn Welton, a pretty woman in her early twenties, opened a door. “When the weather’s nice, we can open or remove the doors if you prefer a more outdoor feel. If you want something both indoors and outdoors, the patio is the perfect spot for cocktails and appetizers.”

“The patio would be a nice location for appetizers before your dinner.” Rachael buzzed with excitement. She wasn’t as wiggly as a kid in a candy shop, but her step had more of a bounce than it had at the first two wineries. She bit her lip before raising her gaze to his. “What do you think?”

The hope in her voice matched the gleam in her eyes. She was adorable.

Seeing her happy pleased him. He wanted to keep that beautiful smile on her face. “It’s perfect. I’d love to have my dinner here.”

Rachael clapped her hands together. “Wonderful. The décor can be rustic or elegant or a combination, whichever you prefer.”

He loved her enthusiasm. “I trust your judgment.”

Mason did. He didn’t know what putting on an event involved. His idea was to let her do as she wanted. Henry offered to make up the guest list since they ran in similar circles. All Mason had to do was provide the names of people associated with TVT he wanted to include since Henry might not know them. The only thing left for Mason to do was pay for everything, which was the easiest part. If everything worked out as he planned—and it usually did—his dinner would give Rachel’s business much-needed exposure and new clients.

“I’ve prepared a small tasting for you in the main winery. I’ll grab the contract. We can talk in there,” Kaitlyn said. “Look around on your own before you make your way over.”

“Thank you.” Mason waited until Kaitlyn left. Rachael’s expression told him what her answer would be, but he still wanted to ask. “You like this one as much as I do, right?”

“I love it.” She spun around as if wanting a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree look. “But you’re the one who needs to love it…”

Love wasn’t a word he used often, but he loved she was so happy with the winery. “I do, too. It’s bigger than I thought it would be, so we could have dancing.”

She pulled out her tablet. “Do you prefer a DJ or a band?”

“Which would you want?”

“It depends on who is available. I can put together a short list for you.”

“Sounds good.”

A wistful expression formed on her face.

“What?” he asked.

“I was thinking about the weddings I saw in the winery’s event portfolio.
