Chapter Six

Jess woke when the bed moved.

Her eyes flew open with shock a split second before she remembered what’d happened last night.

“Will?”

“Shit, sorry. Didn’t mean to wake you. It’s still pretty early. Go back to sleep.”

“Are you leaving?”

He’d made it around to her side of the bed and looked down at her. “Wasn’t sure how you wanted to handle the morning after so I figured I’d make it easy on you and leave.”

Trust Will to want to make it easy on her by saying the one thing guaranteed to make her feel guilty. Even though she didn’t feel guilty about last night. Not at all.

She held out her hand. “Stay.”

He looked from her hand back to her face. “Don’t have to ask me twice.”

Dropping his pants back onto the floor, he grabbed the covers and yanked them down, causing her to yelp in surprise then laugh as he crowded against her until she scooted over just enough for him to fit on the bed.

Without missing a beat, he curled his arm around her and rolled her onto her other side so he could pull her back into the curve of his body. Where she quickly realized morning sex was not out of the picture.

“Were you really going to leave?”

She felt him shrug. “Didn’t want to but I would’ve if you hadn’t woken up. And yeah, I might’ve made a little more noise than I should have.”

Chuckling under her breath, she snuggled back into him, marveling at the amount of heat coming off this man’s body. “I don’t want you to go. You’re like my own personal furnace.”

“Hon, I’ll be your own personal whatever-you-want. But I gotta tell you, I’m probably gonna eat you out of house and home this morning.”

“Then you’re lucky I just went to the grocery store.”

Mentally, she took stock. Eggs, pancake mix, milk, fruit, bread. More than enough to feed a man who probably ate a thousand calories at breakfast, especially on a game day.

“What time is it?”

“Close to seven.”

Stifling a yawn with one hand, she pressed her ass against his crotch and grinned when he clamped his hand on her hip to hold her still then leaned close and bit her neck.

“Play nice or you’re gonna find yourself riding my cock again.”

Her pussy clenched and her lungs seized. “And why do you think I’d have a problem with that?”

His lips quirked. “Glad to hear it. But I don’t want you to get the idea that I’m easy.”

God, she loved how he made her laugh. She didn’t think she’d ever laughed with a man as much as she did with Will. Especially not in bed.

Dangerous. Oh so dangerous.

“And now you’re laughing at me. If I wasn’t so secure in my masculinity, I might have a problem with loss of critical mass.”

The glint in his eyes made it clear he wasn’t serious. And she couldn’t help herself.

She reached behind her to pet his hip, felt his heart beating hard and strong against her back. “I think I need to check that for myself.
