My head was spinning. Was any of this really happening? I kept pinching myself to make sure but all it did was make my skin hurt.
No, I knew I couldn't have been asleep. That orgasm was way too intense to just be a wet dream.
Just thinking about Daemen's expression in the mirror as he jerked me off from behind made my cheeks hot. That was hands down the sexiest encounter I've ever had, and probably would have for the rest of my life. Because after this wedding, I wouldn't need a fake boyfriend anymore, which meant no more Daemen.
That was why he did it, right? To make our act seem convincing?
There was the suit, too. He'd bought it for me without hesitation. I fiddled with the shopping bag, double-checking it was real.
"Hey, Daemen," I said as we strolled through the mall. "I wanted to say thanks again for the suit. Seriously, you didn't need to do that. I could've worn any old dress shirt to the wedding."
"Nonsense. You deserve to look your best. Though, to be fair, you do that all the time."
My heart did an embarrassing flutter. This man had to stop flirting with me or I was going to lose my mind. It would've been easy to write it off as him teasing me, but the weirdest part was that he seemed genuine, like he actually enjoyed spending time with me.
But Daemen was a smart, sexy alpha doctor. I was a chubby, hairy coder pathetic enough to finagle a fake date just so my family would get off my case.
It was never meant to be, so I needed to enjoy this while it lasted.
The scent of fries, cheese, and other delicious fast food wafted in the air, distracting me from my thoughts.
"Are you getting hungry?" Daemen asked just as my stomach growled. "Thought so. Let's grab a bite."
"Okay, but I'm paying this time," I insisted, arching a stern brow at Daemen, which made him grin.
"Fine. You win for now."
He led me towards a waffle shop, where he ordered a stack slathered in strawberry syrup. After I paid for his order, I grabbed a burger and fries and we sat down in the food court.
"Not gonna lie, that looks amazing," I said, eyeing his dripping stack of waffles.
Daemen shot me a mischievous grin. "Want some?"
I opened my mouth to politely decline his offer but my stomach growled, interrupting me. I blushed as Daemen chuckled.
"Don't be shy," he said, offering me a forkful. "Here."
The fluffy scent of fresh waffles mixed with the sweetness of syrup was nearly orgasmic. I tried not to moan as I accepted Daemen's offering. The waffle melted in my mouth.
Daemen looked pleased. He cut himself a bite and slipped the fork past his lips, letting it linger there while he made eye contact with me.
An indirect kiss.
I averted my eyes suddenly, staring down at the table, and then felt even more embarrassed about myself.
An indirect kiss? What am I, a teenager? What a dumb thing to get flustered over.
