Once Aaron had awakened, showered, and had a bit of breakfast, he and Hana decided to walk the streets around the hotel while Michael left for the British Museum and his final planning sessions with the curator there for the approaching exhibition.

Aaron and Hana soon found themselves meandering through the rain-kissed streets of Bloomsbury, their breath misting in the cool London morning. Their surroundings were beautiful in their historical charm, but it was clear their minds were preoccupied with a shared, unspoken tension.

Aaron was the first to break the silence, his voice echoing softly in the quiet street. “Hana, though we haven’t known each other all that long, our friendship has been built on transparency and trust. And I think it’s time we address the elephant in the room.”

Hana turned her face to him, her brows furrowed in puzzlement, but with a hint of understanding in her eyes. “Of course, Aaron. What’s on your mind?”

Aaron took a deep breath, steadying his nerves before he said, “It's about Michael. You two share a special connection, I think. It’s deeper than mere friendship, isn’t it?”

There was a moment’s silence as Hana processed Aaron’s words. Her face, normally so expressive, betrayed little. But there was a flicker in her eyes, a momentary shadow that confirmed what Aaron suspected.

“Hana…” Aaron began, but she interjected.

“Aaron, I… what are you suggesting?” she asked, her voice almost a whisper.

Aaron stopped in his tracks, his gaze steady as he met Hana's. “Hana, I care for you, deeply. And Michael is my best friend. But it’s clear there is… something unspoken between you two. Something that’s more than friendship. I've seen the way you look at each other, the way you interact. It’s as if there’s a private language between the two of you.”

The silence was palpable as Hana looked away, her gaze distant. Aaron could see her wrestling with her thoughts. Finally, she met his eyes, “Aaron, your observation isn’t entirely off the mark,” she admitted, her voice barely a whisper. “Yes, there is something between us. But we’ve never really addressed it. Never given voice to it. Never truly acted on it. He’s a priest, and I… well, it’s complicated.”

Aaron nodded, understanding and sympathy washing over him. “And yet, here we are. You and me. We’re kind of dating.”

“Yes,” Hana admitted, a rueful chuckle escaping her lips. “Yes, we are. It’s not a simple situation, is it?”

Aaron reached out and gently took her hand. She didn’t pull away, but looked at him with a mixture of surprise and gratitude. “Hana, it’s only a predicament if we make it one,” he said. “We all have a history. We all have unspoken feelings and complexities. What’s important is that we’re honest with each other, with ourselves.”

Hana looked at him, her eyes reflecting a storm of emotions—appreciation, guilt, and a hint of regret. “Aaron, you're a remarkable man. Your understanding and honesty… it’s humbling. But I don't know what the next step is.”

Aaron squeezed her hand reassuringly, “Maybe it’s not about finding a solution,” he suggested.
