LOBSTER PASTA
Lobster pasta is a delicious indulgence. It’s the perfect dish for a romantic dinner for two.
Serves 2
11⁄2-pound live lobster, refrigerated until needed
2 tablespoons plus 1⁄2 teaspoon salt, divided
1⁄2 pound long pasta (spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, or bucatini)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1⁄3 cup diced red onions
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
2 tablespoons finely diced celery
2 tablespoons finely diced, peeled carrots
1 bay leaf
1⁄2 cup puréed plum tomatoes
1 teaspoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 tablespoon brandy
1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1⁄8 teaspoon cinnamon
