CHAPTER SEVEN

JUDE LED HER across the sand and up onto his wooden deck. Addi caught a glimpse of a comfortable sitting area to the right, but he angled left and led her to the bedroom, which looked straight onto the sea and the setting sun. Stopping next to the bed, he held her face in his hands and looked down at her, his expression intense.

‘Are you sure you want to do this, Addi?’

Yes, absolutely. She couldn’t wait to undo the buttons of his shirt and spread the fabric apart, to run her hands across his wide chest, to lay her mouth on his hot skin. To kiss his mouth and get lost in his arms. She placed her hand on his shoulder and met his eyes, gazing at that intense shade of green she’d come to associate with passion and need and want. ‘I want this, Jude. I want you.’

He lowered his head to kiss her, but she pulled back just a little. She just needed to check one little thing. ‘This has nothing to do with our deal or my job or anything else, right?’

‘This is only about the fact that I can’t wait to kiss your lips, to run my hands down your naked body, to touch, taste and caress you. I’ve thought about little else for the last two months, trying to remember your smell, the softness of your hair, that sexy sound you make when you’re turned on.’

He radiated sincerity, and she knew that, at this moment, they were a couple who simply wanted each other. This had nothing to do with the marriage certificate tucked into her bag or the agreement they’d made. Right now, he wasn’t the rich billionaire, her sort-of boss, and she wasn’t the mother of his unborn baby.

They were just a man and a woman who were extremely, maddeningly, attracted to each other.

‘Addi, you’re killing me here,’ Jude muttered, his hand coming up to cover hers and squeezing. It was such a boost to her ego to have a man like Jude look at her as though she were all the Christmas presents he’d ever wanted.

She could no more resist him any more than she could stop time.

‘Take me to bed, Jude,’ Addi told him, her voice strong and sure. She craved him and needed to experience the orgasms that only he’d managed to pull effortlessly from her.

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Jude covered her mouth with his, not hesitating to slide his tongue between her teeth to tangle with hers. He bent his knees just a little, and boosted her up his body, and Addi wrapped her legs around his hips, her core settling on the hard ridge of his erection.

Yes, please.

This was exactly where she wanted to be.

Jude kissed her deeply and voraciously, demanding she meet his pace, and she was happy to. She tugged his shirt up his back to glide her hands over the bare skin of his back, loving the taut muscles and his harnessed strength.
