I remember my mom wanted me to be a priest. Seriously. But back on topic, for most of my dating years, I was the sensitive nice guy that turned into the frustrated “I should be leading but I don’t know how” guy once in a relationship. I confused chivalry with sensitivity. Once I “got” that women don’t need to marry their girlfriend, I started to finally become a man.

The Shy/Neglected Woman

Many women have spent most of their lives being overlooked. They might not be as beautiful as most. They might not have the perfect body or the perfect life, but they have the perfect heart. The trouble is that not many men have taken the time to figure that out. This kind of woman, like all of us, loves the attention of a man. For her that attention instantly tells her that he is interested, because it’s not an everyday occurrence. Because of that, she also might not believe your intentions at first. It will take you a little time to prove to her that you are true. She’s interested not in a challenge but in a kind man who will find her beautiful and want to spend time with her. She doesn’t necessarily crave witty repartee but will enjoy stimulating conversation. She more than likely will greatly enjoy grand gestures, because they mean she is on your mind. So send her flowers. Write her love notes. In general, unlike Ms. Independent, she will find your gentlemanliness very flattering. She isn’t used to such things as men getting the door or carrying her bags, and she’ll love it. It will truly mean a lot to her.

The difficulty with the shy girl is drawing her out enough to figure out if she’s interested. Chasing her will require a bit more patience and attentiveness. Flirting might not go both ways at first, mainly because she’s just too shy to attempt it or to believe that you are flirting with her. It’s not part of her personality to be too gregarious, so you have to advance in a similar fashion. The shy girl is great for a man who isn’t the life of the party himself. The old adage goes that opposites attract, and that might be true in some kind of weird fascination sort of way, but more often than not, opposites don’t stick. There are, of course, exceptions, but for the most part, the more you have in common, the easier it is to click.

The Hot Woman

Beautiful women are being pursued by men almost continually. Everywhere they go, men stare and smile. They are never at a loss for attention. They know they can get almost any man they want, so what makes them choose you? The first thing you have to know about the hot woman is that she is taken aback by the man who isn’t falling all over himself because of her beauty. She is shocked and even intrigued when you don’t act like the other men around her.
