There is no way Heather is related to the slimy piece of shit, let alone be his daughter. Right? She told me her family died in a car accident. Hound Senior verified her story. She said that her mother and brother died the year before we met. Thinking back, I realize she never talked about her father, and I never asked. Shit, fuck, damnit. I press my head into my hands. My breathing is unsteady as I try to think. She told me she had been traveling and found her way into our club. She said that being around the club and my family felt like coming home, so she stayed. Fuck it’s possible? Did she manipulate me? My club? Why? Why would she do all that? I mean, she was pushy as fuck.

Goddamnit.

I fucked up.

I look up to Gabriella, who doesn’t seem fazed by the fucked-up shit I spouted off. My words seem to have had no effect. And I know I will have to apologize for saying that shit without thinking. Fuck, my Pop’s is going to have my ass. I can feel the fury rolling off him as he stands beside my brothers. Shit. Damnit. Fuck.

Gabriella looks at me for a moment, blinks a few times, and then keeps going. “Heather was sent here by her father to gain information on your club by any means necessary. If not from your father or your brothers, then you, that is the truth. Demon wanted information about the club. He wants to take over your territory. Your club has been his biggest competition since your father set up shop here. And he will do anything to take you all out, including using his daughter.” She says, and her tone is colder than it has ever been.

“When he came up with his plan, he had been told that you specifically were pretty liberal with whom you shared your bed.” She gives me a pointed look, and shame tries to slither into my thoughts, but I knock it down. Now ain't the time. “Sending Heather here to seduce you was his best bet in getting eyes on and in the club. He somehow knew about your club’s bylaws.” She chuckles, and it grates on my nerves. This shit is far from funny. I stare at her in disbelief that she would find amusement in this situation. “With that knowledge, Demon encouraged her to get pregnant. He knew it would force you to care for her and your child without question. They knew that even if you didn’t make her your ol’ lady, she would still be welcomed in and around the club and you.” Disgust replaces all the previous amusement. And I flinch a little at the look because what happened between us was fucked up. And I got fucking played.

“So, she did what she needed to do. How she went about it?" She shrugs.
