“Morning.” Lenna smiles as she enters my office as if nothing has happened between us over the weekend. Looking up at her beautiful face, all I can see is her arms wrapped around another man, and jealousy is sitting like acid in my stomach. “I have the paperwork for you to sign.” She places it in front of me with another smile.

What the hell is this for?

“For what?” Annoyance creeps into my tone, I can’t help it.

“For Noah and Chloe…” her words fall away. “They are about to arrive at any moment.”

What is going on? I feel like I’ve missed something.

“What the hell are you talking about?”

“Noah and Chloe made it official on the weekend. They are dating,” she replies, slowly testing my reaction with each word.

Why the hell did my brother not call me and tell me?

This is huge.

“They are signing a contract letting you and the company know they are together, officially.”

“Fucking hell,” I mutter to myself.

Lenna lets out a heavy sigh. “Well, I think it’s great.”

Looking up at her as she stands there with her shoulders back, back straight, chin up, she’s daring me to argue with her.

“Of course, you would. You’re still in a post-coital glow,” I spit the words out like venom.

“Excuse me.”

“I saw you.”

“You saw me what?” Those chocolate eyes narrow on me. She’s more than angry, she is furious as she holds her chin high, and the tightness in her expression, you could cut it with a knife.

“You took some guy home. Was he good? Did he make you come like I do?” I know I am stepping over the line so badly at the moment, but I can’t seem to stop myself. My jealousy is out of control, and it’s like a freight train barreling toward the station that I can’t make stop.

“He finished the job you were unable to.” Her words are like a sucker-punch to the stomach, and I almost groan out as it hits me front on. “Don’t you dare make me feel bad about doing something for me for once. I put every other person’s feelings before my own, and where does that get me? Fucked over… time and time again.” Her eyes are glistening with unshed tears.

“Seeing you in his arms…” Raking my hand through my hair, wanting to yank the ends off in frustration, but somehow, I stop myself.

“Did you follow me home?”

“I couldn’t sleep. I fucked up. I—”

“You didn’t want me.” Her voice tightens a little as she speaks. “I’m not going to sit around waiting for you to sort your shit out when it comes to us. You’re either in, or you’re out?”

The sound of the office door creaking open halts our conversation as my brother and Chloe walk in, hand in hand, looking so fucking happy I want to hurl.

“Please, take a seat.” I want this over and done with because heat is crawling through my veins at Lenna’s demand. “I’m assuming you’ve called us here today to inform us that you’re dating?”

“Y-Yes…” Chloe stutters.
