“This is silly!” Sparkleton muttered to Gabe. “There isn’t any goblin!”

“But what if there is?” Gabe asked, his eyes wide.

“Have you ever actually seen a goblin?” Rosie asked Willow.

“No,” Willow admitted. “Nobody has. But I know a lot about them.”

“Why is it even here?” Dale asked.

“I have a theory,” Willow said. “See, goblins live in Sulfurania. That’s their underground kingdom. It’s way down there, and it’s super hot. Goblins don’t like to come up to the surface because it’s too chilly for them under the open sky. Somehow this poor goblin got stuck up here! Now he’s really cold, running around Shimmer Lake.”

“That makes no sense,” said Sparkleton. “Didn’t his magic make it too warm for snow?”

“Sure,” said Willow. “But it’s still too cold for a goblin. They swim in lava lakes for fun! He must be hiding someplace. But if he warms up, he’ll come out. And then he’ll find his way home!”
