Steps to Coronation

So how do we release ourselves from mental bondage and attain a sense of confident royalty? By doing the following.

Realize that you were God’s idea; He created you.

Embrace His stamp of approval.

Do not feel bad about being yourself, about being different, or about having weaknesses. We all have them. Let’s stop letting them have us.

Fortified with God’s stamp of approval, no longer will you cave in to self-consciousness or self-degradation. You will see that you do not need the “correct” looks, job, income or personality to be acceptable.

God already approves of you. That is not to say we should be irresponsible or reckless with our choices and behaviors. We should walk in faith and wisdom. But first and foremost, focus on God’s approval in the depth of your soul. Embrace it. And approve of yourself.

Wear the crown you have been given by God. And do not let anyone take it away from you. Your life will take on a whole new meaning and direction when you do. Remember, His righteousness is the greatest gift we can possibly receive when we are born again. Romans 5:17 says it best: “Those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”

When we accept it, we restore our superiority—NOT OVER PEOPLE, but over sin, sickness, fear, anxiety, depression and discouragement; over every negative emotion and circumstance we will ever face. Make up your mind not to settle for a life below your privileges as a son or daughter of the King of kings. Your perception of yourself will create the reality you live in.

So straighten your crown right now. Shake off the lies and false beliefs that are robbing you of blessings of peace and abundance. And rise!

As it is written in Luke 21:19, “By your patience possess your souls” (NKJV). As I see it, if we do not possess our own souls, something or someone else will. So how do we do that?

1. Discover your power.

All negative emotions come from a sense of powerlessness, but Jesus rescues and delivers us from the oppression of victimhood and inferiority. So no longer can we play the victim.

2. Change your perspective.

Stop thinking life is happening to you and start believing that it is happening for you. As I said ealier, practice gratitude, which chemically activates happiness in your brain.

3. Identify your mistaken beliefs.

Most suffering in life is the result of misperceptions about ourselves. And all suffering originates in beliefs that go unquestioned. These mistaken beliefs create anxiety, depression, anger and blame. But when you know that God is for you, not against you, these false notions lose their power and are replaced with positive thoughts that improve soul health.

4. Understand your rights.

You were created by God to be free—liberated from your past, your pain and your suffering. That is your inalienable right. But when you feel like your freedom is taken away, the resulting powerlessness leads to anger and depression. No matter where
