CHAPTER FIVE

Julia frowned at the file on her desk and walked out into the main office to find Dave. She waited while he served a customer and checked the rest of her staff as she pondered the night ahead.

“What’s up boss lady?”

Dave’s cheery greeting made her smile. She held out the file. “Do you know why Mr. Glynn turned down Luke Warner’s account application?”

Dave blinked at her. “He did?”

“Don’t you look at the files he asks you to sort out?”

“Not really. I’m usually too busy getting away from his boring lectures to care.”

Julia frowned down at the file. “There’s no reason why this application was denied. Mr. Warner even put cash into his account straight away.” She glanced up at Dave. “If Mr. Warner comes in, just treat him like any other customer, and give him his money. I’ll sort this out with Mr. Glynn myself.”

“If he’s ever here.” Dave smiled and strolled back toward the counter where another customer awaited him.

“He’ll be here on Monday. It’s the last day of the month. He has to be here.”

Julia nodded at Dave and at the customer, and headed back to her office, Luke’s file in her hands. She really had no idea why Mr. Glynn had denied the application. It was most unlike him to bother with such a minor detail as an account. She put the file back in her inbox and concentrated on finishing her tasks for the end of the week.

Fridays were always busy at the bank because of people depositing their paychecks. She was always surprised by the number of people who still didn’t trust the automatic check deposit system on the ATM outside and insisted on joining the long line inside the bank and handing the check to a teller. She wiggled her toes in her high-heeled sandals. She’d probably have to help out if things got busy and suddenly regretted her choice of shoes.

She’d seen nothing of Luke or Paul since their last sexual encounter in the old store. Julia licked her lips as she remembered how it had felt to have them both bringing her to a climax, to have both their cocks to suck, to simply have them both. She sighed and tried to concentrate on the stream of financial data on her screen.

Tonight, she was seeing them again and she couldn’t wait. What would Luke be like in bed now that he’d matured? Paul had certainly proved to be extraordinary, but part of her was dying to find out about Luke. Despite the fact that she considered herself a kick-ass kind of woman, it had been strangely liberating to kneel before the two guys and let them tell her what to do, to let go of having to be the adult, responsible one, to just enjoy.

She’d struggled so hard to succeed in the workplace that sometimes she felt like she needed Paul to dominate her in bed just to feel like a real woman. She smiled to herself. God help her if her more militant female friends heard her admit that.
