JACKSON

That was about how I figured it would go down.

It didn’t hurt my feelings that the grumpy asshole would be prickly after he let his guard down. He struck me as the type that was used to being in control, so being taken on a ride he didn’t start had shaken him. Even if that ride did make him holler and melt in someone’s mouth.

I had plans on how I was going to help him strap in for more fun, but first, I had business to attend.

My phone buzzed, and I checked the message waiting for me. My contact was beach-bound, and the location was set. That got my ass in motion because I sure as hell wasn’t going to miss this rendezvous. Breakfast was long packed up in the cafeteria when I strolled through, so I snagged a premade sandwich and an iced coffee as I made my way off the boat.

The sun was bright, the heat just stubborn enough to drive people into the water or under wide umbrellas peppering the beach. “Getting prices.” I smiled because I knew it was free, and so did he. Jonas would have paid to make sure his guests didn’t have to worry about it. “And I was wondering about night tours.”

“No night tours. Cave isn’t safe if you can’t see it.”

“Not even by moonlight?” I smirked as the phrase clicked. He knew who I was and gave a slow nod.

“Especially dangerous then,” he answered as a confirmation, opening up the passenger door to grab what I had come for. The package was small and wrapped in a souvenir shirt from the cave, and I took it with a thank you, passing him his payment.

“Thank you for the information, friend.” I slipped the bundle into my duffle, which contained sunscreen and swim trunks I had no intent on using. With a wave, our transaction was done, and I departed from the touring bus to stroll along the beach. After a quick scan, I saw Jonas lounging under the sun, trying his best to get as bronze as his genes would allow. The little bit of sun he
