Wyatt frowned at him, the golf club in his hand lined up for a swing. “What did she want to watch?”

“Night of the Living Dead.”

Wyatt nodded. “Which you, of course, vetoed.”

“Yep.”

“What’d you want to watch?”

Shane shrugged and leaned on his five-iron. Or his nine-iron, he could never tell the difference. “Whatever, just not horror.”

Wyatt straightened, a grin creasing his face. “You wanted to watch Dirty Dancing, didn’t you?”

Shane scowled. “It’s a good movie. A classic.”

“Dirty Dancing is not a classic, love.”

“It was on a list of top twenty classic romantic movies,” Shane shot back.

Wyatt merely lifted a brow. “And who published this list?”

“Teen Vogue,” Shane muttered and sighed when Wyatt laughed. “Are you going to hit that thing or not?”

“In a minute.” Ignoring the ball, Wyatt continued to grin at Shane. “Did she go along with Dirty Dancing?”

“Yes.”

“Did you cry when Johnny said ‘Nobody puts Baby in a corner’?”

“Just hit the ball,” Shane said with a scowl.

Wyatt hit the ball, but he was laughing so hard he sent it skipping off into the trees.

“Shanked it,” Shane said smugly.

“Who cares? God, I hate golf.”

Shane stepped up to the tee and placed his ball. “Then why are we here?”

“Because all the lawyers are going deep sea fishing and I get seasick.”

“We could’ve just hung out on the beach,” Shane pointed out.

“Yeah, but this way I have something to talk about at dinner tonight. If I stare at you in swim trunks all afternoon, all I’ll have to talk about is your ass.”

Shane eyed his club. “Is this a five-iron or a nine?”

“Like I would know. Where’s Veronica?”

Shane rolled his shoulders and set his club into place. “She had a spa thing first thing this morning, then she said she had a book she wanted to read.”

“You should’ve asked her to come along,” Wyatt said. “This would be more fun with her around.”

“I did ask. She hates golf.” He drew back his club and swung.

“Join the club,” Wyatt muttered, squinting as he watched Shane’s ball land on the green a couple hundred yards away. “Show off.”

Shane slipped the five/nine iron back into the rented golf bag and hoisted it onto his shoulder. “This was your idea,” he reminded Wyatt.

“I know, I know.” Wyatt shouldered his bag and they started down the fairway. “So, aside from your very different tastes in movies, how’s it going with her?”

Shane thought back to that morning, when he’d woken to find her warm, wet mouth wrapped around his dick. And this time, she hadn’t let up when he’d warned her he was about to come. “It’s fine.”

Wyatt rolled his eyes. “Fine, he says. I see that smirk, Shane Eklund, and I know what it means.”

“If you know, why’d you ask?”

“Because I’m a nosy pervert, and I want all the dirty, dirty details.” He raised a brow as Shane snorted. “So, come on. You’ve had a few days to gather intel, it’s time to debrief.”

Shane didn’t bother to roll his eyes. “You have to stop watching bad spy movies.”

“Bad spy movies are my catnip,” Wyatt said and nudged Shane with his elbow.
