I pulled him away from the car and led him in the direction of the club entrance. “Let’s see how strong you really are,” I said, but he stopped. “Where are you taking me?”

“Meet with some friends of mine,” I answered, but he was freaking out again.

“What?!”

I raised the blindfold over his eyes resting on his forehead. “I don’t like to repeat myself.”

He looked around. “We’re in a parking lot.”

“Really? I had no idea!”

“Dan… I don’t know how I feel about more people…”

“You don’t have to know. You just do as I say,” I lowered the blindfold. “Now, shut up.”

He didn’t speak at all after that and we made it to the entrance without him causing a fuss but I could tell he was agitated. He was losing control fast and while a part of him was enjoying the freedom, another part kept him grounded to the rational side of his brain. This wasn’t an issue. We just had to make sure we kept that rational part of him suppressed so he would be a willing participant instead of just being a victim.

“Jason?”

“Brody,” said the man I had spent far too long searching for.

Brody wiped a hand over his face, then scrunched his eyes together as it adjusted to the dimmed light in the backroom we stepped into. As realization dawned, Brody turned to leave but bumped into me. I stood blocking the only exit in the room, and no one was going anywhere.

Brody stared up at me, questions in his eyes. “What’s going on?”

Movement in the corner of my eye drew our attention, and Mark stepped out of the shadows. Brody drew into himself as his fears were confirmed. I turned him around to make him stare at the two men who stood only a few yards from us in the cramped little dank room with a single bed in the middle.

“I tried getting all six guys together, trust me, I really did,” I said, bowing my head to speak into Brody’s ear. “But these two were the only viable options. Turns out you can rape anyone you want, but you can’t make people rape someone unless they want to. And if you want them to live afterward.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Say hi to your teammates, Brody. It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? How long now, a few years?”

Mark lifted his hand in a half wave.

“What the fuck is going on?” Brody asked.

Jason stood there silently, staring at us. It was creeping even me out.

I pushed forward, and we entered the room. I closed the door and turned the lock, the sound echoing in the room.

“It’s like a high school reunion, isn’t it?”

Brody turned to me. “Fuck you. Why’d you bring me here?”

“I think the person to ask isn’t me. Maybe hear what Jason has to say.”

“I don’t give a fuck what any of them have to say.”

Jason shifted his weight, then spoke. “Brody.”

Brody turned around at his name being spoken, and it sent shivers down my spine. Was it anticipation, or just the plain creepiness of the guy? I’m not sure.
