Having bad skin sucks. Let’s not try to pretend otherwise. But having rubbish skin myself has taught me how to be confident in the (spotty-flaky) face of adversity.

I know it’s crazily difficult to be full of joy when you know you don’t look your best, or even yourself. It has you feeling uncomfortable in your own skin (literally) and it occupies your brain more than most people could believe is possible. But the only alternative to learning to live with it (for a little while, at least) is letting yourself disappear behind it. That’s a pretty shitty alternative so… confidence first, solutions later.
