Tate hadn’t seen much of Shiloh since last weekend. It was understandable that the guy didn’t stay over during the week; Tate had school early and there was no reason for Shiloh to be up and running at just past dawn like he was. He hadn’t seen Shiloh at the bar in the evenings either, though, and that was disappointing.

He’d spent far too much time checking out the door, hoping the cowboy would walk in.

He told himself there was a good reason, that Shiloh was probably tired from working every day on the greenhouse, and their schedules just weren’t matching up right now. But Shiloh had been at his house, on his land, when he was at school.

It felt weird.

But it was Friday night now, nobody had to get up early-early tomorrow, and he was wishing he were buying two drinks at the bar instead of one.

Maybe…maybe he should just text? Maybe invite Shiloh to supper. Maybe for a booty call.

He’d peeked in the greenhouse, and the work was astounding. There was this little passive solar heating system, rows of little seedlings in boxes, in pots, even in jars. It was fascinating.

He could call. But what if he was sleeping? What if he’d already had dinner? What if he had other plans?

Okay, he probably didn’t have other plans; the man sat in that corner over there every night for while.

He should call. Or text. Less pressure.

He sipped his beer, then pulled out his phone and texted.

He sipped his beer, then pulled out his phone and texted.

Hey. Hi. You busy?
