Let's pause and reflect on what we're trying to do compared to what we've done.

What just happened?

We took a working script, made changes, and as a result, no longer have a working game. But our mistakes are not to be punished; they are to be learned from.

We expect the paddle, which is positioned near the bottom of the stage, to have a y position of approximately -175. In reality, the y position of the paddle is closer to 24. Your position may vary a bit, but it's clearly nowhere close to what we expect.

So, what's wrong with the paddle?

To answer that question, we need to know that Scratch determines the x or y position of the sprite based on the center of the sprite.
