Chapter 28
Keola
Memphis hums loudly in the truck. I had never met anyone so happy in his life before him. I switched with D.R, heâs having a rough day for some reason, heâs beginning to act like Greer, like someone took away something.
Memphis told us a few days ago that there was going to be a new shipment, and we needed to get proof that we were being set up. The new shipment is going to one of our current partners, Jimmy. Jimmy has been loyal from day one and reached out to Memphis.
âHey Elvis boy,â Jimmy rings out.
âJimmy my man, you mean to call me?â Memphis chuckles.
âWell, I couldnât get your treasurer on the phone,â he says. Although Iâm sitting next to Memphis in the main clubhouse. Fucker is just afraid of me.
Memphis tries to hide his laughter, âWhat can I do for ya?â
âNow, you all know how I have been loyal and extremely gracious for your business.â Jimmyâs a cook for a local high end restaurant and always gets the rarest, mostly illegal grocery list.
âAnd I have a feeling youâre stalling, talk kitchen boy,â I growl out on the phone.
He begins to fumble over his words, âIâm sorry Mr. Johnson. Sure Iâll get to the point. Your old friend Dicky or Ricky came to me a few nights ago, telling me for the right price they could get my items faster. Now I turned him down, but something just ainât right.â He starts off, being approached by the Falcons.
âAnd you told them what?â Memphis starts to question him.
Jimmy quickly rambles, âI promise, buddy, that I told him no, but they keep coming around wanting my business. Theyâre either desperate or theyâre trying something.â
We put the phone on mute, âWhat if we set up the trap?â I suggest. We could get a lot closer, find something relating back to Cedric or maybe get closer to ending this thing. We could send a message about coming into our territory.
âPropose to Jimmy and letâs run it up the chain.â Memphis agrees.
Thatâs what we did, a couple of the prospects were already on the ground waiting to load up the semi with the shipping container, and Memphis and I in the truck looking at the port. Paying off the manager for this âdelayâ in the Falcons shipment is paying off. My phone buzzes, I know who it is but I canât afford a distraction at this moment. Iâll ignore it, but will make it up to her with my face buried between those legs, possibly teasing her with a certain blue toy that she thinks is hidden in her nightstand.
Memphis continues to hum louder and on purpose. I smack his chest. He groans, rubbing his chest, âJesus, brother. Donât take your frustrations out on me.â
âDonât have any frustrations,â I groan.
âYou would think since itâs already Christmas time, youâd be more jolly.â He shoves me.
âI can still be a Grinch,â I say sternly.
His smile curls under his blonde beard. âUntil your dick grows three times because of a certain woman.
