2.9 Plan Integration for Orders

The Customizing settings for the version and order type include selecting the Plan Integration checkbox. This checkbox is transferred to the Control Data tab of the internal order and determines how the planned costs on the order (or work breakdown structure [WBS] elements) are handled and whether a demand for activities from an order or project is treated the same way as a demand from another cost center.

Figure 29 shows the order master data (Transaction KO01) and an order for which the Plan-integrated Order checkbox has been selected. The value in the version is merely a default. It’s the flag in the order itself that determines whether values planned for the order will be transferred or not, so make sure you’re consistent in selecting this checkbox for order types whose values you want to include in planning. These will typically be those order types that exist for the full duration of the planning period rather than short-lived production and maintenance orders.
