Preventative maintenance.

This type of maintenance involves actively making checks and small repairs to avoid bigger fiascos down the road. There are things you can do every day, week and month that will help you stay on track with your RVs condition, including: keeping everything clean and lubricated, checking the battery’s water levels, pressure of tires, surge protection and much more, depending on the class and model.

Emergency maintenance.

Emergency maintenance may be needed in situations you have little control over. Some examples include if your RV blows out a tire, is severely damaged by weather or a traffic accident or your RV suddenly breaks down without fair warning. It’s important to have handy emergency tools ready for situations like this (see Chapter 8), but emergencies can be reduced with increased scheduled and preventative maintenance.
