601) About 12% of people dream entirely in black and white. The exposure to color television seems to have had a significant impact on whether people dream in color; people who grew up with little access to color television dream in black and white about 25% of the time. In the 1940s before color television, the numbers were reversed with about 75% of people reporting they dreamed in black and white.
602) In 1959, the U.S. Navy submarine USS Barbero assisted the U.S. Post Office Department in a test to deliver mail via a cruise missile. The submarine launched a cruise missile with 3,000 pieces of mail from Norfolk, Virginia, and it landed at its target in Mayport, Florida 22 minutes later. While the success of the test was lauded at the time, it never went any further since the cost could not be justified.
603) On a clear night in a dark area, you can see about 2,000 stars in the sky.
604) The first pedestrian ever killed by a car occurred on August 17, 1896. Bridget Driscoll was struck by a demonstration car which was traveling at 4 mph.
605) Huh is the closest thing to a universal word. It means the same thing in every language, and everybody in almost every language says it.

609) Richard Anderson and Martin E. Brooks were the first actors in U.S. television history to play the same characters on two different series on two different networks at the same time. They played Oscar Goldman and Dr. Rudy Wells on The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman; both shows were originally on ABC before The Bionic Woman moved to NBC in 1978 for its last season, and they continued their roles on both shows.

He raced four horse chariots, and records show he won 1,462 out of the 4,257 races he competed in. He also seemed to be a showman making many of his victories come from behind last second victories which made him even more popular. He raced for 24 years and retired at age 42. His winnings amounted to the equivalent of 2,600 kg of gold which considering the buying power at the time would make him a multi-billionaire in todayâs dollars.
