The analysis of this decision problem with uncertainty is shown in the middle panel of Fig. 12.3. We see that the optimum action is now 1.1, which is larger than it was without uncertainty. And if we increase the uncertainty by a factor 1.5, then the optimum action increases even further (right panel of Fig. 12.3). Reducing the uncertainty by the same factor reduces the optimum to 0.8 as shown in the left panel.
