My name is Grace. My name means “favor” or “blessing.” God blesses me with the strength and desire to do what is right, even in times of trouble. I had to be brave to go into the Black Woods, but I did it because that one trouble-making, adventurous little kitten was important to me, just as you and I are important to God. All of God’s creatures are worthy of love and protection, especially the ones that are lost or get into trouble! God will come after us, just like I went after Poppy. It is the lost ones that he came to save.

My story is like a story in the Bible. You can find the parable Jesus told in Matthew 18:12–14. Our heavenly Father looks for the one sheep that is lost and brings that one to the safety of his kingdom. Just as my sisters and I sat by the fire in the safety of the castle with our father, the king, you too can be found and safe in the care of the one true King.
