You will either use area A00 or A01 to enter the plan data manually. Area A00 allows planning on an annual basis, while A01 provides twelve periods for a fiscal year. The A09 area is used for copying the plan data to and from SAP ERP.

4.3 Planning functionality in S/4 HANA

Embedded planning functionality in S/4 begins with entering the manual plan data. The area A01 will be used; this allows planning by individual period in the fiscal year. As I mentioned, analysis for Office is an add-in to Excel. If you have this installed, either you will have an icon like or you will launch it from your Windows start menu. Launching this will start Excel with some additional tabs and functions (see Figure 4.3).
