Functions can either be created from scratch or copied from an existing function.

The function maintenance menu can be found under the Edit • Functions dropdown menu, as shown in Figure 4.6.

First, a hierarchy component, such as a function tree, structure node, or function reference must be selected by clicking on it. Depending on the hierarchy level selected, certain maintenance options are not available. Function maintenance options are also available by right-clicking on the mouse when selecting the hierarchy object. The maintenance options available depend on which object is selected.
