Gathering Gear

After you land, you need to find some gear.

Weapons help you defeat enemies. Shields

let your character take more damage when

fighting. Other items give you special

abilities. You won’t have any items at the

start of a match. You have to scavenge for

everything on the island. Items can be

found almost anywhere you look.

You can quickly build up a good supply of wood by knocking down

a couple of trees.

You’ll also need to gather plenty of building

materials. There are three kinds: wood,

stone, and metal. Start by equipping your

character’s pickaxe. Then simply swing it at

anything you see. You can chop down trees.

You can break apart cars and knock down

walls. Every time you break something, it

will give you building materials.

Right on Target

A small circle will pop up when you start swinging your pickaxe.

Try to aim at it as you swing. You’ll get extra building materials if

you hit it.
