‌‌Chapter 4

Highlighting Major Themes

‌‌In this terse chapter, I close off the first section of the book by throwing a spotlight on major themes that emerged in it. The aim of this chapter is two-fold. On the one hand, the plan is to single out those themes that have stood out in it. Consequently, I have identified at least four salient themes. Firstly, I reflect and respond to the view that partiality is not a moral concept. Secondly, I reflect on the tendency to relate to the idea of human dignity as a macro-ethical concept in moral philosophy. Next, I reflect on Metz’s moral philosophy so as to extract one valuable insight from it, which informs the major contribution of this book. Finally, I make some comments about the concept of personhood.
