Repeat this exercise five to ten times.

Wall Slide

To perform the Wall Slide Exercise:

1. Standing 12 to 16 inches from the wall and facing away from the wall with your feet shoulder-width apart, lean back against the wall.

2. Slowly lower your buttocks toward the floor as far as you can, but no more than your thighs being parallel to the floor (see Figure 12-27).

3. Hold this position for five to ten seconds.

4. Tighten your thigh muscles and slide back up to a standing/leaning position.
