6. Tighten the knot made, firmly.

7. Insert the running end through the center of the loop.

8. Then hook it left, over the loop,...

9. ...around the left edge of the loop, and under itself.

10. Tighten the knot made, firmly.

11. Repeat Steps 7 through 10 until a minimum 5 inches of running end remain.

12. To firm up the piece, take the tip of the running end in hand.

13. Insert it through the center of the loop.

14. Then pull firmly on the standing end.

15. Adjust the stitches so that they’re lined up with one another.
