Joint-friendly foods

Let's come to specific foods that are joint-friendly and that can be eaten a lot with osteoarthritis.

Joint-friendly foods are defined by their mode of action. They should be anti-inflammatory or pain-relieving and provide as many substances as possible for cartilage, bone and tissue regeneration.

For many of the foods or groups of foods listed below, smaller case studies have been carried out which have improved the symptoms or consequences of osteoarthritis in different ways. These are not yet used as scientific proof, but are a clear indication that they contain active ingredients that have a positive effect on your joints. Thus, you cannot hope for a miracle cure from a single food but many of these foods in combination - together with the factor of exercise - can lead to a significant improvement in your osteoarthritis and quality of life.

The following table is intended to give you the most detailed overview possible of which foods have proven to be joint-friendly. You will see that these are in the majority compared to the jointly hostile foods listed in the next chapter and that you can conjure up many varied and delicious meals from them.
