Send-on-Behalf-of

In addition to the Q1 2018 service update, you must install the April 2018 update of Azure AD Connect because it adds the two-way synchronization of the PublicDelegates attribute between the on-premises organization and Exchange Online. This attribute contains information on what recipients have been granted the Send-on-behalf-of rights and is required to ensure that permissions that are granted on-premises show up in Exchange Online and vice versa. When you assign a permission to a recipient cross-premises, there might be a delay before the permission starts to work; this is because Azure AD Connect first needs to synchronize the update attribute.

The process of granting Send-on-behalf-of permissions in a hybrid deployment is no different from on-premises; you can use both PowerShell or the Exchange Admin Center in Exchange Online to do so. To assign the permission using the EAC, follow these steps:
