We love variety. Thatâs why when you visit us at Hunt + Alpine (or our home), youâll see drinks that range from the classic Old Fashioned to originals such as the Fratelli Stinger. We feel the same way about the food we serve too. One of our favorite ways to show off this variety and let our guests experience a wide breadth of choice is by recreating our version of the Finnish coffee table with a modern, Maine version of the classic smorgasbord. With so much variety and so many different flavors, you are bound to make even picky eaters happy.
Every time Brianaâs mother, Bee, talks about her trips to visit relatives in Finland, she will, without fail, mention the open-faced sandwiches served on thick slices of rye bread with pickles and cold cuts. She loved them. Sheâll also mention how she could eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When we were creating the food menu for Hunt + Alpine, Beeâs story of the coffee table spread, also known as a smorgasbord, came to mind.
