“I really don’t know about this. Who is going to want to watch me on TikTok?” Lisa said. She and Marley were in Lisa’s kitchen on a Saturday morning and Marley was helping her to make a few TikTok videos. Marley set up a tripod and had Lisa practice doing it herself, so she could make videos on her own without Marley holding the camera. The tripod was lightweight and Marley set it up on the kitchen island and aimed it at Lisa, so it would show what she was cooking on the stove.

They made a bunch of videos. Marley held the camera in some of them and followed Lisa around the inn as she gave a tour, showing prospective guests the property. They walked into several guest rooms, making sure to show the gorgeous water views. From there they went into the dining room, which was set for breakfast. The side table had a pretty roasted vegetable quiche, and there was a platter of cut fresh cantaloupe, honeydew melons and strawberries, as well as a bread basket with bagels and pastries. They walked down to the beach too and made sure to get a shot of the lighthouse in the distance and a ferry heading into Nantucket harbor.

“I’ll edit this into shorter videos. People's attention spans are short so we’ll have lots of short videos. I think we should do one of you making something that guests could easily make at home.”

“Should I do the lobster quiche, do you think?”

Marley thought for a moment. “That’s your signature dish and you sell it, so I think it’s good to have a little mystery about that one. Let’s do something simpler that they could easily make at home.”

Lisa smiled. “How about the lazy-lobster casserole? It doesn’t get much easier than that.”

“That sounds good.”

They went back into the kitchen and Lisa got all the ingredients out for the lobster dish. She tied an apron on and hesitated, looking to Marley for direction.

“Just talk as if you’re telling me how to make it. Keep it casual and simple.”

Lisa took a deep breath and smiled.

“This is one of the easiest and most delicious lobster dishes you’ll ever have. The key is a pound of fresh, sweet lobster. You could also substitute any seafood really, scallops, shrimp, cod, or any combination.” She leaned over and turned on the oven. “Set your oven at 350.”

She dumped a bag of lobster tails onto a cutting board and lifted a giant chef’s knife in the air. “First, cut your lobster into bite-sized chunks. Then put them in a nine by thirteen inch casserole dish.” She chopped the lobster and added it to the dish.

“Now take one stick of butter.” She cut it in half on the cutting board. “Melt half of it.” She put it in a bowl and then in the microwave for thirty seconds.

“While that’s melting, go ahead and crush your Ritz crackers. You need one sleeve of them.” She pulled a sleeve of crackers out of the box and laid it on the counter.
