I awake to the sound of someone knocking on my door. I glance down at Greta, but she’s still deeply asleep. I ease away from her and roll off the bed. I grab the same robe she wore earlier after her punishment. When I open the door a crack, I see Cormac on the other side. I wonder why he’s on the other side of my door when he’s supposed to be watching Greta's grandmother.

“What are you doing here?”

“Come down the hall. We need to talk, and I know you don’t want to disturb her. This isn’t anything she can hear, anyway.”

I follow my cousin to my office, and I discover all the rest of the guys are there too. “What the fuck, Seamus? You’re supposed to be at the nursing home, just like Cormac. Why are you both here when you’re supposed to be on watch?”

I want explanations right now. I don’t want excuses.

Seamus sits in his favorite armchair as he speaks, and I’m not sure I like what he has to say any more than hearing about Greta’s involvement to begin with.

“We needed to talk to you, so Mikey and John are there. You know you can trust them as much as you trust us. But what we have to say isn’t something we can send over a text or have someone else tell you. We need to discuss this together. Is she still sleeping?”

“Yeah. At least for now.”

I don't want Greta waking up alone for a few reasons. I don’t want her to think I abandoned her. I don’t want her to be disoriented in a place where she hasn’t slept before. And I don’t want her wandering down the hall and possibly overhearing part of this conversation since it’s obvious it’s not meant for her ears.

“Tell me what's going on. I’m not feeling particularly patient since it’s the middle of the night, and I’m not convinced you should be here rather than watching Greta’s grandmother. If anything happens to that woman, I won’t forgive you. It’ll hurt Greta, and it will ruin any trust we’ve built between the two of us. I’m not willing to take that risk.”

Seamus continues to explain while Cormac sits quietly. The rest of the guys don’t look like they already know anything. It seems this is news to them too.

“You know we all thought the same thing you did. One look at the men in those photos, and it screamed feds. So, we did a little digging while we took shifts patrolling the grounds. Turns out the guys are actually ATF. They want to stir up shite to intimidate Molly, so we think they were the ones who hacked her computer.”

Finn interjects. “She doesn’t like the name Molly. She said she wants us to use her real name.”

Cormac looks to me for clarification. “Márgrég?”

“Yeah. Since we all speak Gaelic, she’d prefer to go by her real name. I don’t think she hears it often.”

Seamus picks up the story again. “While I shot that video for Márgrég, Cor kept talking to her granny.
