Creating a data table

Creating a data table is a straightforward way to vary one or two values involved in a worksheet calculation (or calculations) and then view the results based on the changes that were made to the value (or values). Data tables are a quick way to see how a single varied input cell affects calculations performed by formulas or functions. If you are going to tackle multiple variables for a what-if analysis, it probably makes more sense to use the Scenario Manager, which we discuss in the next section. Therefore, the discussion that follows looks at how to create a one-value data table.
