You can do the star rating here, but I don’t think it’s as good as the formula version in this case.

TIP – if you’re testing out different types of conditional formatting, don’t forget to clear the rules each time, otherwise they start going on top of each other.

Not so good! Go to the ‘Home’ ribbon’ and under ‘Conditional Formatting’, select ‘Clear Rules’ and select ‘Clear Rules from Selected Cells’.

That’s all there is to it! Use the preset conditional formatting rules in order to add quick sparkline or heatmap visuals to your data. As always, don’t over-do it, be selective with the data that you apply this to.
