If you want to keep your memory sharp what you need to understand is that you have to take conscious effort to train your brain to make it stronger. Like a muscle, the mind can only become stronger through exercises. Even if you’re already an adult, you can begin training your mind daily through different brain exercises. Some of the activities you can do are:

Test Your Memory

If puzzles aren’t your thing, maybe you can do a simple brain exercise such as trying to memorize a list and recalling it later. You can use your grocery list to do this. Try to remember the items on your list, and then after an hour, try to recall the questions again. This simple activity will stimulate your brain and would help improve your memory over time.

Skip the Calculator

Although it’s easier to compute using a calculator on your smartphone, it would be great for your brain and memory if you challenge yourself to calculate math mentally. You can even further test yourself by taking math problems and solving them “old school style”—using a pen and paper.
