I’m going to find out what he’s been up to.

I’ve seen the wounds that he gets from whoever he’s fucking behind my back. We’re not exclusive, but I’m not used to a guy like Ian. My other pledges push for something more. At least try to couple up. They want the power they think they’ll get by being associated with the Archon. Not Ian, though. He’s different. He doesn’t seem to give a fuck about how I could benefit him. His disinterest isn’t something I’m used to. I imagine it’s because I can’t quench his thirst for pain. Brad insisted I run a background check on him, but I refused since I’d already run one and discovered Ian’s colorful history with a dom. The teacher he fucked was charged for sexual assault, but Daddy’s investigator assured me that the case files show that Ian considered the relationship consensual. A guy with a dom at sixteen is far more experienced than these other pledges. I do my best to fulfill his desires. Use a little less lube. Slap him that much harder. Fuck him in the most uncomfortable positions I can imagine. The new injuries he’s received—ones he blames on the Thursday Alpha Theta Mu flag football games—have convinced me that he needs it rougher than I’ve given it to him. The marks on his side today, obviously fingerprints, assured me that he hooked up with whoever it was again. When I noticed them, he tried to blame them on me, but I know where I mark my bitches.

“Hey, man, what’s up?” Brad asks as he enters my room.

I rise from my desk and approach him. I texted him a few minutes earlier to meet me in here. “Not much. Just trying to organize next week’s mixer with Theta Beta Phi.”

I trust Brad more than the other guys. He owes me. Big time. He’ll do whatever I ask. Plus, since he’s hooking up with Ian’s roommate, he has better access to the kid’s secrets than anyone else.

I review some of the plans for the mixer, discussing possible budget cuts since Tad threw a fit when he saw how much Theta Beta Phi wanted to spend on the event. Considering how much he’s increased our budget through his bookkeeping, we’re eager to keep our Treasurer happy. Once we find a few odds and ends we can throw out—or at least, that Brad can sweet-talk Kelly at Theta Beta Phi into cutting out—I ease into my next request: “You mind if I ask you for a favor?”

“Anything.” His serious expression coupled with his thoughtless agreement assure me he’s the right person for the job.

“I think Ian’s been running around on me.”

“What makes you think that?”

“Just trust me on this. He’s doing something with someone. I was going to see if you might keep an eye on him for me.”

“What’s the big deal? You have plenty of guys?”

“This one’s serious. You’re with Jesse all the time, so it’ll be effortless for you. Just hang out around him when he’s using his phone.
