WE RODE IN A CAR GOING to the place where he works. It seems that his work demands a lot from him and I can't expect him to show me around the city. I couldn't stop looking out the window and look at the buildings, people, and the bright-looking signs. It's all so magical and magnificent.

"I see you can't get enough of the city." He noticed.

I turned my attention forward to watch the road. I couldn't get my smile off of my face. "Yes, it's also beautiful even during the day. It's also always full of people."

"Yeah, well, welcome to New York." He said, grinning. His eyes on the road. He turned left and saw a new set of buildings ahead of us. "I'm sorry that I had to drag you to work. I promise it would be quick."

"Take your time." I said. "It's the least thing I could do for all the things you've done."

"Now, I got to tell you." He said nervously. "My colleagues are very controversial. They think in a differently weird perspective. They see things differently."

"Well, things are a whole lot different in New York so I figured as much."

"How can you tell?"

I waited until we stopped in front of the stop light. "For example, that woman over there." I said, pointing at the woman wearing tiny shorts with a hanging shirt of some sort from her body walking opposite to our direction. "You see her?"

"Yeah, I see her." He said and drove forward.

"She wore clothes that revealed too much skin." I explained. "I thought that she's different from me who covers most of my skin."

He chuckled. "I like the analogy." He commented. I felt flattered myself. "I won't buy you those kinds of clothes for that matter. I won't allow that."

I frowned at him. "What makes you think you're the boss of me?"

"Well, I am the boss of you considering that I provide you with all the things that you need every day. Also, it's indecent to wear those kinds of clothes." He said. I think it’s a valid reason so I just kept quiet.

We arrived at a glass building filled with people wearing a suit. There were also people wearing different style and colour of attire. Still, most of them were stunning. They are prettier and more attractive than an average person. I wonder why they've gathered in this place.

"Follow me." Jayden said over his shoulder. "We're going to use the elevator."

I didn't know what an elevator was until we got there. It was a small room that can be occupied by a certain amount of people. I felt this weird sensation as the number indicated on the side of the door went up. When the door opened again, we were in a different place, or rather in a different floor inside the building. Simple things like this really amaze me.

I followed Jayden to an empty hallway. I looked at him from behind. He wore a maroon vest over long white collared sleeves and denim pants with black and white sneakers.
