Chapter Twenty-One

Romeo

My day went from shit to worse.

When I got back to the clubhouse, River broke it down for me. They had all gone out to the local biker bar, and Victor had been there with a few of the Angels MC. When he saw River, Jeremiah, Matthew and Train there, he came right up to them and started a fight, hitting Matthew in the face, breaking his nose, and screaming at them that now that he’s acting president, things are going to change around here. He said the Angels no longer owe the Devils any money and they wouldn’t be paying any longer.

We all know he is fucking lying, because Julianna isn’t married to him, and never will be if I have my way. The man sounds unhinged. While we have had a chaotic past with the Angels, things have changed and it has been mostly passive until this. Despite what happened, Mikey and my grandfather actually coexisted peacefully. Now that Mikey is gone and the debt is ending, all is going to shit.

Victor started a war, and for no damn reason, unless he has a plan no one else knows about. Maybe he knows his only chance of being president is hanging by a thread, that thread being Julianna and the fact she would rather lose it all than marry him.

I don’t like knowing that shit is about to get hectic with the Angels MC and people Julianna may care about or consider family could be in danger. But more than anything I just need to make sure that she is okay and won’t get caught in the crossfire.

As president I’m not only put in the position of having to deal with this in a way that appeases the men, but also doesn’t escalate a fucking war. I wish Victor could stop trying to start shit just because he’s in some kind of power struggle.

I have a few options here. I could:

Reach out to the actual president—Julianna’s father, Paulie—and discuss.

Hunt Victor down and teach him a lesson.

Play it dirty and take down a group of them.

Marry Julianna and we join the clubs and rule them together.
