Battersea Park

With 81ha (200 acres) of space, this Grade II-listed Victorian park has much to offer visitors. Waterfowl, including heron and grebe, can be seen on the lake, while sports lovers are well served too. In the 1950s, the northern section of the park was developed as gardens as part of the Festival of Britain, and the park now features a water garden. Relax at the café, visit the zoo, or sit and enjoy the fountains.

DISTANCE 10km (6¼ miles), easily shortened to 8km (5 miles)
