Use the following procedure to create a flowchart:

Step 1: Select the File tab to open the Backstage View.

Step 2: Select New.

Step 3: Select the Flowchart Template Category.

Step 4: Select Basic Flowchart.

Step 5: Select the measurement units.

Step 6: Select Create.

Look at the different shapes available in the flowchart template.

Drag shapes to the drawing to create your flowchart. You can use the connector tool on the Tools area of the Home tab on the Ribbon. Drag from a connection point on the first shape to a connection point on the second shape.
