Nobody really knew Mouse’s real name but it must be Mouse. He had such a mousy face; his legs looked like a mouse’s legs and he was so easily frightened.

“Mouse is a very ordinary mouse, don’t you think Rosemary?” asked Basil.

“Yes, he looks like a common mouse to me,” Rosemary agreed laughing.

Rosemary turned to the sisters,

“Ladies, what do you think?”

The Pansy sisters gave Rosemary a serious look.

“We disagree! Haven’t you noticed Mouse’s haircut?”

Basil and Rosemary looked at Mouse.

“No! What’s wrong with Mouse’s hairstyle?” Basil and Rosemary asked together.

“He has spiky hair!” The sisters said, “How many mice do you know with spiky hair?”

Basil pointed at Mouse and laughed,

“Look Rosemary, it’s true, he has got spiky hair!”

All the plants laughed, it was so funny for a mouse to have spiky hair.
