Two weeks later, Ginger and Magna Jones, Ginger’s intrepid assistant, were enjoying their customary morning tea together in the office of Lady Gold Investigations when Ginger’s eyes fell upon an article in The London Times. She sat forward immediately at her desk, her mouth dropping open.

“What is it?” Magna asked.

“He told us it was too dangerous.”

“Too dangerous?” Magna’s eyes rounded in interest. “Who? What?”

“Professor Willington, an inventor Scout and I met at the International Inventions and Innovations Exhibition. He said it was too dangerous to attempt to go forward in time.” Ginger handed the paper over to Magna. “He told us one should only go back in time.”

“I think I should like to stay right here in 1928!” Magna declared as she took the paper from Ginger.

London, 24th August 1928 - In a bizarre incident, a man who claimed to have invented a time travel machine has vanished without a trace during a test run in his home.
