ADDIE

I could feel Manic’s eyes on me as I opened the oven and took out the freshly baked cookies.

“You didn’t need to do that,” he said, moving in behind me.

“You take him out a plate of these, and while he’s busy eating, you can talk to him.” I smiled and set the tray on the counter. I wanted to help, and this was the only thing I could think of.

“I’ll try anything at this point,” he said and slid his hands around my waist.

“It’ll work.” I loved the feel of him pressed against my back. The scrape of his zipper against my butt, where he’d spanked me last night, made me shiver. It didn’t hurt, but I was aware of it, reminded of what we’d done every time I sat down. I turned in his arms and his hands dropped to my ass. He squeezed as if he knew exactly what I was thinking and feeling.

My breath rushed out of me.

He made a hmm sound and leaned in. “You still sensitive, cupcake?”

Manic gave me another squeeze, and a moan was forced from me before I knew it was coming. I nodded, my throat feeling tight and my body overly warm.

“You sore, baby?”

I shook my head and cleared my throat. “Not sore. Just…aware.”

“Yeah?” He dipped his head and kissed his way along my throat and nipped my ear. “You like it? The way it feels?”

I slid my hands under his shirt, up his sides, seeking smooth, hot flesh. My face grew warm, talking about this stuff. We’d agreed to enjoy each other while we were away, but last night had been…I didn’t know how to describe it. Intense didn’t come close. “Yes,” I whispered, my voice catching.

He made another of those rough sounds, then lifted his head and looked down at me. “You want more of that, don’t you, cupcake?”

His eyes were hot, moving over me, and there was no hiding the truth. I didn’t know what it meant that I liked it when he’d spanked me, but I did. I knew there were people who liked that, but I’d never really thought about it seriously. “I-I think I do…want more of that.”

He nodded.

He took my chin, tilting my head back, and softly touched my mouth with his, sliding his lips across mine, then flicked his tongue along the seam. “I promise I’ll take good care of you, Addison. You know I’ll always take care of you when we’re together like that, don’t you?”

I did. I knew he’d never hurt me. “Yes. Manic—”

“Levi,” he growled. “That gets you another spanking right there. How many times do I have to tell you to call me Levi? I’m starting to think you’re doing it on purpose.”

Was I? He’d told me repeatedly to call him Levi, and I could admit I chose not to when we weren’t in bed together, because it felt too, I don’t know, intimate.

His gaze searched mine as though he could read my thoughts. “Yeah, you know exactly what you’re doing.
