Tyson knocks on my office door and then pokes his head in. âYou wanted to see me, Mrs. Frost?â
âYes, please come inside and close the door behind you,â I say sternly. The past month it has been hard to hide how I feel about Tyson at the office, so I decided no more Mrs. Nice Boss, not that I ever was one, but Iâm especially hard on Tyson. And from what heâs said, everyone noticed and wondered what he did to piss me off.
He stalks toward me with no emotion on his face. As if he hadnât woken me up this morning with his head between my thighs until I came all over his face and fingers.
My lights are off with the only light coming from the floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the city. I love to look out and see the busy city throughout my day, and the twinkling lights at night. Although there havenât been too many late nights at the office since Tyson came into my life.
Speaking of Tyson, he stands in front of my desk with his hands clasped in front as he stares straight ahead waiting for me to acknowledge him again or to offer him a seat.
âMr. Jacobs, please sit. Iâd like to go over a few things with you.â I shuffle the papers on my desk and stack them at the corner of my desk.
His eyes widen for the briefest of moments before he takes a seat. I watch as he places his clasped hands on one knee and keeps his stoic expression.
âFirst, I wanted to inform you that Mathers will be installing a more sophisticated security system throughout the building. Everyone will be required to use their assigned keycard in the lobby along with several other places throughout the building.â Tyson raises an eyebrow in question. Iâm sure heâs wondering why Iâm telling him this. âPart of the upgrade will be security cameras placed strategically throughout the building.â
He clears his throat and looks around the room.
âAs far as I know there arenât any cameras in my office. I do know there will be some in the stairwells, and in front of the elevators, but thatâs as far as my knowledge goes.â
This means that Tyson and I will have to keep a strictly professional relationship while at work.
âDo they know?â he shakes his head. âNo, that would be a pretty extreme measure just to catch your employees in a compromising situation.â
âOh, theyâre looking to catch employees, but not us. There have been multiple expensive items that have gone missing from Mathers, and theyâre going to do everything in their power to catch who it is. The cameras will be installed this weekend while everyone is gone, and no one will be the wiser. The keycard system will take a little longer, but it will be in plain sight.â
His straight brows cinch. âIs that why you called me in? It could have waited until we got home.â His mouth clamps shut, and he looks everywhere but me.
