Chapter Seven
Aina
I cry the whole ride back to his Airbnb in the taxi, resting on his lap with my head in his chest. Itâs not so much that I am scaredâitâs that I feel violated. My job is my safe place, the place where I know everything the best and I know every corner, nook and crannyâand these guys came into my museum with intent on doing violence upon me. It makes me sick to think that Sari was in the offices already. I had told her I could handle a group of three. I guess not.
He carries me into the beautiful house by the Nile, and I relax as he locks the door behind us. Taking us to the large, L-shaped couch, he tucks himself into the L for maximum room to accommodate his large form, pulls me on top of him, and pulls a blanket around us. âOkay,â he says finally. âSo are we crying, orâ¦?â
I manage to laugh through my tears at his words. âI just feel violated,â I echo softly. âThe museum is justâ¦itâs my thing.â
âI know,â he murmurs softly, kissing my forehead. âYou told me just how much you love it.â He rubs my back slowly, and I start to calm down, watching his face. Everything has a slightly far-away quality, as if Iâm watching a movie, and itâs so pleasant and warm that I smile up at him.
âWhy are you taking such good care of me?â I whisper.
He clears his throat, looking down at me with those brilliant brown eyes. âAs crazy as this sounds, I love you,â he says simply. âOne look at you and I knew that youâre it for me. I want to protect you, to keep you safe, and make you happyâ¦and never let anyone like those three little shits get near you ever again,â he growls.
Ohh. Thatâs an interesting noise he makes. I shift a little on his lap and he inhales slowly, his eyes going dark. âDonât do that,â he whispers, his voice husky and low.
âDonât do what?â I say softly. It takes me a minute to realize what Iâve done as I feel his hard length pressing into my hip. He doesnât even look embarrassedâhe looks determined, and thereâs a glint of possession in his eyes that makes a tremor run down my spine.
His hands reach my hips and he holds me steady there. âDonât move like that,â he replies, trying to look away, but not quite managing to tear his gaze off of my eyes. âBecause youâre fucking beautiful, Aina, and Iâm trying my best to make you feel better, butââ
I shift again and he groans, his head falling back against the couch. âWhat if Iâve made a decision about whatâs going to make me feel better?â I murmur, leaning down, whispering my words close to his lips.
âFuck, Aina,â he moans my name, and a thrill runs through me. âI tell you that I love you, that youâre mine, and you grind yourself into me like
