Step 6 – SAVE!! Since you have already stated the location when you did a “Save As”, you do not need to do that again. Instead, simply click the button that looks like a disk (above the “File” tab). Or you could click “File – Save”.

Themes!!!

Before we move any further, it’s time that we discussed Themes….. Basically, a theme is simply a background design that you can apply to all of your slides so they all have a similar look and feel. It’s often better than just having a boring, plain white background on every slide. We need to decide on a theme pretty early and I will show you why in a moment.

Below are several examples of Themes and Variants as well as an explanation of how to use them.

To use a Theme, you first have to click the “Design” tab (See image below). When you do, you will see two main sections. The first section is called “Themes” and the second section is called “Variants”….

A Theme is basically a layout and design for your slides.

A Variant is basically different versions of a single theme. Like different colors and so forth. The next few slides will clear this up a bit.
